On 7th day of Ganpati (September 19) I visited 3 pandals… Dagdu Sheth in the early morning and 2 more in Pimple Saudagar in evening. In this post I’ll be writing about how I managed to click some decent images among crowd in Dagdu Sheth. Also how Bappa did not let me go disappointed with out any images in the evening.
First one is Dagdgu Sheth Ganpati as last time I dint bring my camera to click pictures. And this time I solely went for photographing Bappa with my camera. It was tough task to manage to click image among all the crowd there. I started with 18-55 mm lens which felt short in reach then I changed 55-250mm lens which finally gave me above capture at 213mm and cropped almost 60% to look what it is now.
Then I needed one close up picture too so changed 50mm and went just below Bappa’s idol and clicked above photo….
And in the evening, as part of my resolution, I again went to explore another nearby locality for new pandals. It was tough day as I walked down so much without finding any pandal and eventually I told Bappa “ill go till that building and if there wont be any pandal I’ll go back”. I went till that building, turned back and started towards my home and all of a sudden I saw one Beautiful Idol in one Shopping Mall…..I could not believe my luck, I was completely disappointed to go home empty handed. But guess Luck Does Favor The Brave. I spent good half an hour there, clicking many lovely pictures. And above one is the best among all.
Once done at above place I was coming back to my home and found one more place having another Ganpati Murti, I went in and clicked few pics too and best one is here. I tried to practice this new composition to have focused on His Hand, with Om writtem on it, raised for blessing while rest idol remains unfocused. And I was happy with the result.
So this is what I am doing to get rid of anxiety and self consciousness being on street with my camera. And its really really working very well. Keep looking forward to next posts as to how I enjoyed next 3 days doing what I love the most, i.e. Clicking.
