Weekly Photo Challenge: Culture

This weeks Photo Challenge is Culture.

My Cultural Journey was celebrating Ganeshotsava.

Ganeshostava is a festival celebrated on the Birthday of Lord Ganesha.
It’sthe Biggest Festival of Maharashtra and the way people in Maharashtra celebrate it will just Overwhelm everyone around.

Ganeshotsava starts with Ganesh Chaturthi by the installation of The Ganesh statues in colorfully decorated homes and specially erected temporary structures pandals in every locality. Ganesha is worshiped for 10 days from Bhadrapada Shudha Chaturthi to the Ananta Chaturdashi, On the 11th day, the statue is taken through the streets in a procession accompanied with dancing, singing, and fanfare to be immersed in a river or the sea symbolizing a ritual see-off of the Lord in his journey towards his abode in Kailash while taking away with him the misfortunes of his devotees. This concludes the Ganeshotsav with  Ganesh Visarjan.

I am here for last 2 years and each year during the period of 10 days of Ganesh Mahotsav I used to visit pandals to get A Glimpse of Lord Ganesh’s Avatar on earth.  And by Looking at Those Big Mutries whole Universe seems like stopped and one can feel your existence is nothing in front of The GOD.

So here are the few pics that I clicked Last year and Last to last year during Ganesh Mahotsav. I felt blessed being there in front of God, by chanting mantras felt like God is with me in my All Troubles and He gave me small amount of his Unlimited Power to fight back the problems around.
